The short version

Mumbles doesn't collect, transmit, or store any of your data. Your voice is processed entirely on your Mac. Nothing leaves your machine.

Your voice

All speech recognition happens on your Mac. Your voice is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. It's processed and immediately forgotten.

Text data

Everything Mumbles types for you is processed entirely on your Mac. No text is sent to any server.

Analytics

Mumbles contains no analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind. We don't know how often you use the app, what you say, or what you transcribe.

Website analytics

The getmumbles.com website uses PostHog for basic website analytics. No personal data is collected or shared.

License validation

When you activate Mumbles with your license key, a single request checks that your purchase is valid. That's it. Just the license key. No personal information, no usage data.

Network access

Mumbles connects to the internet for two things: downloading speech models during first-time setup and checking for app updates. Neither involves tracking. After setup, Mumbles works entirely offline.

Third parties

We do not share any data with third parties because we don't have any data to share.
